About
Our Church History
Immanuel Africa Gospel Church is one of the AGC churches in our urban centers in Kenya. It was started by in 1974 through evangelism by KHBC students and Rev. Tanaka. They had a vision to begin a congregation in town. The initial meetings were done in a classroom at Highlands Primary School in 1974. Between 1975 and 1976 the church met in Patel Brotherhood building and moved back to highlands in 1977 where they continued to meet until 1983. After a notice was issued for the church to move to a different place the church moved to St. Particks Primary School for a few months. Later on in the same year, the church purchased a small fabricated timber structure that was put behind Bethany building as served as the IAGC town church. The church began with two converts and has grown gradually over the years. Since 1983 the church has run 2 services. In 1991 the church was allocated land on the main highway and that is where the current church was built. The church was built and dedicated for use in 1993 by the 2nd President of the Republic of Kenya
